Intro: Money Does Grow on Trees!
What Did I Make? I made an creative way to not only to get kids to eat their fruits, but also trick anyone into thinking money grows on trees. I found a way to put money inside an orange and people not understand how it got in there. I chose an orange because it has a way of opening in the middle to place money in. It's fun to see people get surprised and confused how money got inside an orange! How Did I Make It? 1. Get an medium to large size orange (The bigger the better), a knife( get permission from someone if you are not an adult), and find a clean surface( a counter). 2. Take the knife and pop the bottom brownish circle off either the top or the bottom (Whichever side its on). 3. Use the tip of the knife to barely poke through where you took the brown circle off, and begin to twist the knife gently just to make a bigger hole. 4. Roll up any dollar bill and slide it in the hole you created. 5. Replace the brown circle. 6. Give it to someone or wait for someone to eat it! What Did I Learn? This project turned out exactly how I wanted it to, but the only challenge was trying to find a big enough orange with the ones I had ( to fit the money inside). If I had to do it over again I may wrap a small amount of clear wrap around the money to keep the inside of the orange more sanitary, but most of the time the money never even touches where you eat. Where Did I Make It? In the comfort of my own home, on my kitchen counter.
