In our 2007 Halloween rig, kids got to build a monster to attack and destroy their local school. The rig uses Phidgets for a cool interface for the kids to use to choose a monster, mission, and school to attack.

Love it! Too bad it didn't destroy the school quite as planned, still looks like a ton of fun though. ;)
