Multigrain Pie dosa is a healthy dosa.

It is loaded with protein, it is so filling and makes us full for a long time.

It is a very simple recipe yet very delicious, healthy and nutritious. This dish is commonly known as Adai Dosai in southern India and is served with coconut chutney

Nutritional Facts:

Chana dal in addition to protein provides a good source of iron and fibre

Toor dal s a rich source of protein, carbohydrates and fibre , it is an incredible source of folic acids

Urad dal is full of protein

Supplies

Ingredients needed

Idli Rice - 1/4 cup

Raw Rice - 1/4 cup

Channa Dal - 1/4 cup

Toor dal - 1/4 cup

Urad dal - 1 tablespoon

To grind :

Dals

Lentils

Ginger

Garlic

Fennel seeds

dried red chilli

Ingredients to Add after Grinding

Grated Coconut

Curry Leaves

Coriander Leaves

Salt

Hing

Turmeric powder

Water

Step 1: Ingredients for Grinding

Add all the lentils or dals – Raw rice, Idli rice, channa dal, toor dal and urad dal to a large pot.

Wash them thoroughly

Pour enough water and soak them for 2 to 3 hours.

Soak 3 dried chilis along with it.

Step 2: Grinding Batter

Cut an inch of ginger

Cut 3 garlic pods

Add half teaspoon of fennel seeds

Grind soak dals, ginger, garlic and fennel seeds coarsely

Add little amount of water to grind

Step 3: Preparing Batter

Chop 1 big onion finely

Heat oil in a pan and saute them well

Add sautee onions to grinded batter

Chop few curry leaves and coriander leaves, add them to batter

Add 1 teaspoon of grated coconut and add it to batter

Add half teaspoon of turmeric powder

Add required amount of salt

Add pinch of hing

Mix all of them together

Add little water to make it like batter consistency(Batter should not be too runny)

Step 4: Making Pie Shape

Heat Tawa , once its hot pour batter in pie shape

Keep the flame in low to medium heat

Pour oil and close lid

Let it cook for 5 mins

Open lid and flip to other side and cook for 3 to 4 mins

Press it gently to cook even

Remove from tawa when both sides are cooked

Step 5: Preparing 3.14

Heat Tawa , once its hot pour batter in shapes (3,.,1 and 4).

Keep the flame in low to medium heat

Pour oil and close lid

Let it cook for 5 mins

Open lid and flip to other side and cook for 3 to 4 mins

Press it gently to cook even

Remove from tawa when both sides are cooked

Easy Pie Dosa are ready.
