Introduction: Multi-function Radio, Bluetooth, MP3 With SD and USB Player to Be Used During the Tests in Your Electronics Work Bench

About: Since I was child, one the stuffs that did many times was disassemble all my toys. Actually, I also disassembled the electronic equipments from my parents. The pieces was used to create another toys more fun. …

Characteristics of MP3 multi-function:

  • Radio FM.
  • Antenna input.
  • Bluetooth.
  • MP3 using SD or USB.
  • Stereo output.
  • Remote control.
  • Display with segments in color with LED.
  • Remote control
  • Works with 9 up to 12 Volts.
  • Aux input.

Supplies

  • Multi-function radio, bluetooth, MP3
  • PAM 8403 amplifier with volume control.
  • 7805 regulator.
  • Heat sink for 7805.
  • Antenna for FM radio.
  • Knob for potentiometer of volume.
  • Wires and alligators connectors.

Step 1:

During the electronic buildings tools are too much important. In case miss it, the stuffs could be more difficult to have success.

In my case, in many moments I build audio equipment, like amplifier. The best way to test is using an audio input. Sometimes I plug my MP3 player. But it is not a good way to do it. So I decided to create this equipment to make my life easy.

In addition, for this building I also include a small amplifier using PAM 8403. The circuit that I used has also a control of volume. It gives to me more flexibility, during all tests along the constructions.

The MP3 multi-function works with 12 Volts. But the PAM 8403 needs 5 Volts to work. In case of that, I added a 7805 with a heat sink in order to get the right voltage and keep it cold.

The PAM 8403 gives around 3 + 3 Watts of music power. Then, it is also able, just in case, to install a speaker directly.

All the circuit was installed inside a small wood case. As it is an equipment for tests, I designed it to be smaller. The voltage comes from my adjustable source, but you can also add a 9 Volt battery if necessary, or even an AC/DC inlet power supply. It is possible because the MP3 multi-function works fine with voltages between 7 and 12 Volts.
