Introduction: My Halloween Costume!
Hey everyone!
I know it's nearly Christmas, but I would like to share my last Halloween costume.
The suit is my fourth costume so far, the first two costumes that I did in freshman year were made
of cardboard, during sophomore year I made a costume out of tin, and this year I've made the suit
out of hand-dyed cloth, leather, chainmail, and stainless steel. I am currently designing a fifth
costume, which will also use the same materials, however I will have a forge this time to make
intricate belt buckles and such.
Tell me what you think! I especially value constructive criticism, since I still have much to learn.

Hey everyone! It's been awhile. I've been working on my fifth costume for quite some time and my skill in metalworking has improved quite a bit, so much that entering this costume into the current halloween contest makes me cringe.
Anyways, if you'd like to look at my progress so far, visit: http://forums.armourarchive.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=140118
And have a Happy Halloween!

Looks awesome! Can't wait!
I've been trying to design a metal costume for a while. I was going for lightweight sci-fi military/scout armor, but I can't decide how to do it.
Your work is amazing!

Kinda bulky. I like the Metro Police more cause they have thinner suits... but ah we'll see eventually.

oh, I didn't see the 'lightweight' part! My bad.

This is amazing. You should make the Witch King costume from Lord of the Rings, it'd be great.

my comment didnt post thats odd oh well
the only thing i would is add more pics of the suit and add a war scythe

I actually do have a longsword and this big ol' round shield about 3 1/2' by 3 1/2', but I couldn't bring a sword to school, and I had to carry my backpack and my shield would get in the way. I'm making a fifth costume, it's going to be based somewhat on bird-like features, so I'm having a hard time deciding whether I should make two scimitars that look like wings, a 6-7' claymore, or a warscythe/spear.
I could go ask my friends and see if they've taken any more pictures of me on Halloween and see if they could upload them.

my suggestion for a bird type thing would be to imagine taking two scythes and cutting down the handles to about the size of your hand and holding the handle so that the blade runs along your arm to your elbow, also rather than the sharp edge being on the inside as you could easily cut your arm and not cut anything else, the sharp edge would be on the other side

Use Cows can kills out the side xiphoid, and attach the scimitar blades. it would look more winglike

oh ok i didnt realize you where at school
for a bird-like suit i would go with the scimitars
