Here is how I did my mini model ship! it took me about 2-3 days to build, and hours of work on the furniture, and well, here it is! A mini model ship I built! This method of building ships could be used with any type of ship. Also, the deckhouse alone took me 3 hours to do, but it was worth it.

Step 1: Gather Your Materials and Plans

Materials:
*Big knife

*Pencil/pen

*Sandpaper

*Rulers

*Sculpting pencil

*Your boat plans

*Wooden block

Step 2: Carving the Hull From a Block of Wood...

The first thing you're gonna need a block of wood, but then you're gonna need to sharpen your sculpting knives for some good sculpting. Ok, so then take a block of wood of the desired size and cut it into a cubic oval shape. Take another block of wood (don't make these be too thick though) and make It be the size of the other block of wood you made, but just a rectangle. Now, SAND LIKE A MADMAN!! Make your hull be as smooth as possible and make it look like a boat (obviously) and you can glue the hull to the block of wood or just let It be free and sail. Make other details like the bow, some railing.

Step 3: Create Cabin, Hatches & Spars

Alright now, cut the desired prices of the cabin, spars, hatches, and mast.

Step 4: Paint & Create Details

So, for this step you're gonna need some paint, to paint your hull the desired color. I took a coat of white for the floor and hull to make it look modern - ish. Now, get your parts and color them as desired.

Step 5: Attach All the Parts to the Hull

Now that you're done making and painting the parts, wood glue all of them to the hull. It is also required that you paint these parts with a small paintbrush because of the parts' size.

Step 6: Attach Mast and Make Rigging

ok, so now you have to attach your mast by poking a hole into your deckhouse, and making your mast go through there. Also add the necessary rigging.

Step 7: Start Adding Sails And, Et Viola!

so, now take cotton or paper, and make your sails. Draw them on cotton or paper and glue them to the rigging, and you're done! I hope you found this tutorial helpful! Favorite, comment, subscribe ( if you want :P )
