Introduction: My Gaming Rig.
Here's my gaming rig I built in February of 2012. The specs are:
Cooler master Haf 912 case.
Radeon 6870 Graphics card.
Amd fx-8120 Processor.
8 gigabytes of G-skill rip-jaw Ram
Asrock am3 extreme3 Motherboard.
Seagate 500 gig (pooey) hard drive.
Corsair Gs800 ,800 wat psu. (go for modular)
A lot of effort.
So here it is. I just finished the paint job :D if you wanna paint your computer, make sure you do some research it takes a lot more work than just "ok where's the spray paint lets do this."
I put the window in myself a few days ago ,and I also made some lights but i'm going to modify them tonight.

Well,i`ve spent lots of money in my gaming rig (about more than 1000 euros/dollars).It sounds like this:
-Mobo: AsRock Z77 Extreme 3;
-CPU: Intel Core I5 3570k 4.8GHz OC w/ CoolerMaster V8 GTS Cooler;
-GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX480 2GB SC;
-RAM: 16GB Mushkin 2600 MHz OC;
-HDD: Seagate 1TB(that`s enough for me);
-Case: Old Targa case customized to hold 6 case fans(120mm)(4x Noctua 120mm);
-PSU: Sirtec HP 750W;
-Screen: BenQ G2440 24";
-Speakers: Logitech z506 5.1 Surround;
-Mouse: ASUS RoG Gx950 w/ SteelSeries QcK mass mousepad;
-Kboard: CoolerMaster Storm Quickfire Rapid Brown(the brown switch one is hard to find,but it is kinda cheaper than the red switches kboard,and feels better);
+ Many case customisations(many,but it looks good);
It can run Battlefield 4 smooth and runs Minecraft at 290-470 FPS-es.

Well here's my specs
AMD Athlon 2 Quadcore 2.8GHz
Asus M4A79XTD ECO Motherboard
Before it started showing problems a Sapphire Radon 5770 Vapor X edition. And now a Gigabyte 6870 Overclock edition 1 Gig
6GB of RAM
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB Hard drive
A second 160GB Hard drive
And an Antec 300 gaming case with 3 120mm fans and 1 140mm fans.
Plus a 500 watt Antec PSU
Running Windows 7
By the way the GPU really is massive. The 6870 just barely fits in the case. Also I need to get some dedicated cables to feed this beast. My current system doesn't seem to be feeding it properly.

Nice! sounds like your PSU might be holding you back. make sure its got at least two 6 pin PCI-E adapters. your motherboard shouldn't be what's holding it back unless you have some crazy bios option enabled.

Upgraded my system.
Now I run an Intel 3770K,16 gigs of ram, a 2tb Seagate Barracuda drive, same 1tb caviar black drive for back up, an Asus Sabertooth Z77 motherboard, a Sapphire Radeon 7970 Vapor-X 3gig edition, a NXZT Tempest 140 CPU cooler, all packaged in a matt black NXZT Phantom 630 case with a 750 watt non modular ASUS PSU.
New build is much quieter than the old build that had all its fans installed. Hard drive is louder most of the time now.

DAAAYUUUM!

Nope It's not my PSU. Maximum PC has done builds very similar to mine without using more than 300 watts total.My PSU thankfully has 2 6 pin cable outlets open.
And this was the most powerful GPU my PCI-E 2.0 motherboard and my mid tower case could accommodate.

300W PSU with a 6870? Unlikely. Generally they require 500W+ PSUs.
Reply 10 years ago on Introduction
They recommend a 500 watt but the total system uses less that 300 watts.

I get most of my games from Steampowered.com so you don't need an optical drive although i have one.

It isn't. DLC my friend.
Reply 10 years ago on Introduction
I think you mean DLG in the digital distribution sense. DLC is for content.

What is "DLC".
Reply 10 years ago on Introduction
Downloadable content. Basically you just buy the game online and download it.
