Introduction: Navigating Through Photoshop: Adobe Photoshop (1.2)
The best way to become familiar and comfortable with any workspace is to explore and practice. Furthermore, learning to maneuver through Photoshop CS4 will give users a head start when learning how to use other Adobe CS4 programs with a similar interface, such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Flash. The work area, or the workspace, includes menus, toolbars, and panels that give users quick access to an array of tools and options for editing and manipulating images and graphics. The default workspace in Photoshop CS4 displays the Application bar, the Menu bar, and the Options bar at the top of the window, the Tools panel on the left, and several other panels on the right. When previewing an image, it helps to have a different background and to remove the workspace altogether. By default, Photoshop CS4 opens in Standard Screen Mode. Created by the ITS Training Program at CSULA for students.
