Introduction: Ninja Warrior Quintuple Steps

I enjoy watching American Ninja Warrior and a few years ago decided that I wanted to build the quintuple steps (cheaply). After searching the internet for plans, I couldn't find any simple and affordable designs. But I did see a video that showed a simpler version that could be built. So here is my instructable for the Ninja Warrior Quintuple Step. You will only need some 2x4's, plywood, deck screws, and a few hours. Let me know how it works for you.

Step 1: Cutting the Wood

You will need three 2" x 4" x 8', cut them as follows:

  • #1: 2 x 29", 1 x 37"
  • #2: 1 x 29", 1 x 37", 1 x 24"
  • #3: 2 x 30"

Cut the plywood down to 30" x 35" (3/8" to 3/4" thick).

You will need 37 x 2.5" deck screws.

Step 2: Build the Frame

Lay the plywood on a flat surface. Place the 2 x 30" pieces at the top and bottom of the 30" side of the plywood. Place the 3 x 29" pieces lengthwise between the 2 x 30" pieces, with one of the 30" pieces being flush to 30" side of the plywood(see above). Using the deck screws, screw the two by fours together, while keeping them squared to the frame. I used two screws per end for a total of 12 screws.

Now flip everything over make sure the side of the frame not flush to the 30" side must be 3" from the side to make proper contact with the ground(shown above). Screw the plywood to the frame using 3 screws per two by four for a total of 15 screws.

Step 3: Build and Attach the Legs

Place the 2 x 37" and 1 x 24" pieces as shown above. The 24" piece is 8" from the end of the two 37" pieces. Screw the 24" in place with 2 screws per side for a total of 4 screws.

Place the legs into the frame as shown above. Note that the 24" brace should be farther away from the base. Use 2 screws from the side and 1 from the back on each side, for a total of 6 screws.

Step 4: Finished!

Now you can set up your quintuple steps and practice for American Ninja Warrior. Also note that you can stack them for easy storage. I hope you like this instructable, please leave comments below.
