Introduction: Number Digits Logic Puzzle

Its Asray here and in this Instructable I'm going to show you how to make a Number Digits Logic Puzzle out of cardboard.
This is the first I am making a puzzle so this was a new experience for me. Usually in the project I can make it out in my brain in 3D and works fine but in a puzzle you got a lot of moving pieces and at the end they all have to fit together so it was a different and new perspective for me to make this project but it turned out well at the end and I hope you guys will like it too. I now have a newfound respect for puzzle makers.
I'm going to be using cardboard in this project and since some of you in my last instructable asked if they could use plywood to replicate my projects, I would say it is completely possible but as long as you use very thin plywood (0.6 mm)
This would be a good thing to make with your kids or gift to people who absolutely love mind games and puzzles. I made this puzzle difficult enough to solve and I hope some of you will make this as its simple enough to make.
This is the first time I am drawing out and scanning the schematics and blueprints of the project. You can print it out and glue it on the cardboard. Its saves you guys a lot of time and helps you from not getting the measurements wrong. For those of you who don't own a printer, don't worry I noted down all the measurements in the blueprints and you guys can draw out the pieces out on yourselves and cut it out.

Supplies
- Cardboard/Any Other Material (Preferably of width 0.6 cm)
- Box Knife/X-Acto Knife
- Liquid Glue & Hot Glue
- Printer (Optional)
- Paint (2 different colors)
- Pencil/Pen & Scale
Step 1: Printing Out the Pieces
The first sketch/plan is the drawing of the base/box of the puzzle and the second sketch/plan shows the numbers of the puzzle. The numbers are the puzzle pieces of the puzzle and the base holds all the pieces together.

Step 2: Making the Number Pieces of the Puzzle
1.Print out the plan for the number pieces. Click on the link for the plans below:

2.Cut out the number pieces from the plan.(Picture 2)
3.Tape/Glue out the numbers on the cardboard such that it can be peeled off easily.
4.Cut out two copies of the numbers on cardboard. (picture 3)
5. Glue them up the two pieces together such that the puzzle pieces are thick. They should be thick as cardboard is flimsy and this makes it stronger plus it makes the pieces easier to remove and add from the base. (PIcture 4)
You are done making the number pieces of the puzzle
Step 3: Making the Base of the Puzzle
1. Print out the plan for the base pieces. Click on the link for the plans below:

2.Cut out the base pieces from the plan (Picture 2)
3.Tape/Glue out the numbers on the cardboard such that it can be peeled off easily.
4.Cut out the pieces of cardboard using the templates
5.Once you have gotten the cardboard pieces glue the side pieces to the base as you can see in pictures 4,5 and 6. You glue the long side and short long side pieces and then lastly glue the corner pieces.
6.Finally solve the puzzle to make sure all the pieces fit as you can see in picture 7. If it doesn't fit make sure you measured and cut all the pieces right and check again.
You have finished making the base of the puzzle. We are going to paint it next
Step 4: Painting the Pieces of the Puzzle
Paint the base a dark color. In this case I am using dark blue. (Pictures 1 and 2)
Paint the number puzzle pieces a light color. I am using white. (Pictures 3 and 4)
Make sure that you paint the pieces very lightly otherwise the pieces won't fit precisely
Painting the puzzle is optional but it looks much better when you paint it. The paint also makes the numbers stronger, i think so but it worked in my case, so it was a win- win for me.
The structure is now complete.
Step 5: How to Solve the Puzzle

This is the first time I made a puzzle and gave me a newfound respect to all puzzle makers out there. Usually when you are making something you start with one thing and keep on adding to it until you get the end result. But in the case of puzzles, you have to think of the think of the whole puzzle first and work backwards until you get all the pieces.
Also I am new to painting so I am not that good but I hope to get better by time. Usually I cover my projects with colored paper but painting is easier and looks much better according to me. If anyone has better ways to make my projects look better, please say so in the comments.
Any kind of advice is appreciated. I think it's better to learn and make myself better in making stuff. P.S. Constructive Criticism is very much appreciated.
In the future I hope to make my project in other material such as wood but I don't have the materials required to make do it.
