Introduction: Nursery Watering Jug
Here's the problem. How do you water these little guys without hurting them or splashing all over?
Step 1: Tools and Materials
1. Empty quart jug
2. Plastic straw
3. Drill and bits
4. Hot glue gun
Step 2: Wash the Jug
Wash the jug and straw
Step 3: Find the Drill Bit
The drill bit should fit snuggly into the straw. You want the hole to be slightly smaller than the straw.
Step 4: Drill Hole in the Cap
Step 5: Drill Another Hole
Drill small air hole in handle, but not through the other side of handle.
Step 6: Stick Straw Through the Cap
Put the bendable side to the outside
Step 7: Glue
Glue both the inside and outside of straw/cap to get a really good seal. Go generous on the glue to help stabilize the straw.
Step 8: Water
Add water. Having your thumb over the air hole can regulate water flow onto plants. Covering the hole will decrease water flow.
Step 9: Have Fun
Keep your little plants happy.
