  3. 1/2 tsp
  4. 1 tsp
  5. 1/2 cup
  6. 1 cup
  7. Kitchen Scales
  8. A big bowl
  9. A spatula
  10. A baking sheet
  11. An oven
  12. A fridge
  13. Ingredients
  14. 1 cup unsalted butter
  15. 1/2 granulated white sugar
  16. 1 cup brown suga2
  17. 2 large organic eggs
  18. 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  19. 1/2 tsp salt
  20. 3/4 tsp baking soda
  21. 1 tsp cornstarch
  22. 1 cup cake flour
  23. 1.5 cups all purpose flour
  24. Semisweet chocolate chips
  25. Nutella

Step 1:

  1. Combine the butter, brown sugar and white sugar.
  2. Mix it until it's all the same color and consistency

Step 2:

  1. Add the eggs and mix some more

Step 3:

  1. Add the cocoa powder and... you guessed it... mix some more.

Step 4:

  1. Add the salt, baking soda and cornstarch. Mix Master Mike

Step 5:

  1. Add the all purpose flour and the cake flour. Sir Mix A Lot

Step 6:

  1. Add the chocolate chips... Mmmmmmmmmix

Step 7:

  1. Now depending on the temperature and humidity of your location, and the temperature of the butter you started with, working the dough now might be difficult. I recommend putting the dough into the fridge for at least 30 mins to cool and become easier to work with,

Step 8:

  1. With the dough cooled, we can start making cookies!
  2. Preheat the oven to 420 degrees F.
  3. Prepare your baking sheet and get your kitchen scales ready.
  4. Scoop out some dough and weigh it. You'll want each dough ball to weigh around 4.5 ounces.
  5. Once you've got a few balls at the right weight, you'll need to work them into little pancakes. I like to kinda mush them in my hands until they are loose enough to flatten out without breaking or becoming brittle.

Step 9:

  1. Once you've got your little cookie disks, scoop in a tablespoon of Nutella. I use one spoon to scoop the Nutella and another spoon to scrape it off the first spoon and into the centre of the cookie disk.
  2. Now pick up the disk and make a little dumpling out of it, pinching the dough together around the Nutella.
  3. Once you've got your dumpling, shape in back into a ball and your done.
  4. Repeat the process and place these wonderful Nutella balls a couple inches away from each other on the baking sheet.
  5. Once the oven is ready, pop the first batch in and bake them on the middle rack for about 11-12 mins.

Step 10:

  1. After 11-12 mins, the beautiful smell of these decision works of art should have wafted to every corner of your home and brought the other occupants to the kitchen.
  2. Take the cookies out and let them sit for about half an hour. During this time, regale your visitors with stories of glory from your youth. Or tell them this joke: "Why do we Scottish people make our chilli with 239 beans? Because if we added even one more bean, it would make it too farty."
  3. Cookies are done!! Enjoy!
