Origami Paper Heart

This quick and easy step by step guide is the perfect craft to gift a loved one on Valentine's Day or any day to show your appreciation of them!

Supplies

• 6 x 6 inch paper for folding
• pen

Step 1:

Put the paper on a flat surface and rotate the paper so that it makes a diamond shape

Step 2:

Fold the paper in half by pulling the left side over the right so that there is a line going down the middle

Step 3:

Open the paper to its original diamond form

Step 4:

Fold the paper in half again, this time by pulling the top half over the bottom half so that there are two intersecting fold lines

Step 5:

Open the paper to its original diamond form with the intersecting lines being vertical and horizontal, then mark the very center with a pen

Step 6:

Take the top point of the diamond and press the top edge into the marked middle point of the diamond

Step 7:

Lift and fold the bottom corner over the folded top piece so the bottom point is lined up with the middle of the top fold

Step 8:

Lift the bottom right side so that the crease lines up vertically at the halfway mark over both other folds

Step 9:

Repeat for the bottom left side

Step 10:

Turn the paper around so that it’s now facing down

Step 11:

Fold down the left and right top edges so that they are lined up with the horizontal crease

Step 12:

Fold in the left and right outward edges of the heart so that they make vertical creases

Step 13:

Turn the heart over
