Introduction: Origami Table-Organizer

Hello everyone!

Today I will show you, how to make this easy, cheap, quick and pretty table-organizer.

And all you will need for it are 5 square pieces of paper! (And some pens or stickers for decoration...)

Step 1: Paper

That's right! All you need is 5 sheets of square paper!

If you want more than 3 containers, add two sheets of paper for every additional container you want!

Do not have any square paper? Cut some Din-A Paper into squares!

Step 2: Start Folding

Alright!

First we want to fold our first sheet of paper in 3 equally sized parallel lines. (Pic 1 and 2)

Unfold the paper again, and fold it in half, so now you have 6 equally sized rectangles. (Pic 3 and 4)

Do not unfold the last step! We will need it folded in half. (Pic 4)

Pic 5 shows you the lines you have to fold. I hope it helps!

Step 3: Fold On!

Now it will get a little bit tricky, so I hope the pictures help you understand.

Fold your paper again at the pre-folded lines from our first step. You want the corner of the one side to touch the folded line of the opposite side. (Pic 1)

Do this to the other corner as well. (Pic 2)

Turn your work and continue at the backside. Here it is more easy, for you can use the already pre-folded lines from folding the paper in half. They will make the corners. (Pic 3 and 4)

Pic 5 and 6 should help understanding this step.

Step 4: Nearly Done!

Take the flap on top (the pointy stuff we just folded) and fold it along the pointy edge of the flap underneath. (Pic 1 and 2)

This is to hold your work together.

Now you can open it to a cone, or V-shaped bag. (Pic 4)

Pic 5 shows you where to fold here.

Step 5: Folding in the Flaps

Now this is a bit tricky again.

We want the edges at the side pointing inwards.

Carefully fold them inside your cone and flatten your work again, so they stay in place. (Pic 3 and 4)

Pic 5 should help you understand this step better.

Step 6: Make Five!

All there is left to do is to fold down the over standing flaps down. (Pic 1)

Then your first cone is done! (Pic 3)

Repeat with the other 4 pieces of paper! (Pic 4)

You can add more cones whenever you like. Every container-cone asks for two additional cones.

Step 7: Optional: Decorating

The next steps are optional. If you want to decorate your organizer, you will have to unfold your cones again.

The part you will want to paint are the pointy areas pointing to the middle. (Pic 3)

Step 8: Optional Continue: Refold

The pictures above should help you to refold your painted cones.

Step 9: Putting Them Together

Now all that's left to do is putting your cones together.

Put the flaps into the pointy pocket at the side of your cones. (Pic 1 and 2)

Be careful to insert the flaps of both involved cones at the same time.

Do so with all of your 5 cones and you are done!

Pic 4 will show you how to put the cones together.

Your table-organizer is ready to be filled with pens, pins, rubbers, small sharpeners, paper-clips and so on...

Remember that you can always add more cones!
