Origami Trash Can

Introduction: Origami Trash Can

About: ♫♪♫♪

This is my first Instructable

This is very simple and easy. And I recommend that you use useless paper or junk paper such as the very old newspaper that's been kept away or such.

In this Instructable I'll be using Manila paper instead.

Step 1: Gathering the Materials

You'll need the ff:
glue stick (optional)
stapler (optional)
tape (optional)

Step 2:

Place the folded sheet lengthwise. Fold it in half

Step 3:

Fold the upper flap down along a line one third the measurement of the folded sheet

Step 4:

Fold up the flap along the dotted line
see image for reference

Step 5:

Turn over and repeat step 3 and 4 on the side

Step 6:

Open it but don't unfold the flaps. Then fold both top and bottom sides to the center of the paper

Step 7:

tuck the four corners under the flaps

Step 8:

Make a crease by folding both left and right sides and then carefully open it.

Step 9:

Now you have a simple trash can which you can use for many things such as putting your biodegradable trash or storage.

i was thinking do this with old newspaper ,will it last long.anything to make this using old news paper and strong and last long.

If you want to make it a bit stronger I suggest you layer it. Addingmore layer will make it durable but you might have some difficulty infolding it. And yes it will last long. I've been using scrap paper forsome time and they last for some time until they got wet because of afew "accidents"
