Introduction: Oxygen Analyzers

About: I am a part time content writer. I am interested in writing various topics about latest trend/update, Science Technology, Party Plans/Ideas, Tech Tips, Computer & latest Software, News and More....
BACKGROUND

An Oxygen Analyzers measures the % of oxygen in the gas or the liquid being analyzed. The Oxygen Analyzers was first developed by the Robert Bosch GmbH company in 1960 under stewardship of Dr Gunter Baurman. The various technologies used in construction are zirconia, electrochemical, infrared, and ultrasonic and laser. All these different methods have their own benefits and flaws.

APPLICATIONS

The various uses of O2 Analyzer include measurement of O2 concentration in inlet and exhaust of Internal Combustion engines in automobile industry and by divers to measure the % of O2 in their breathing gas. These equipments are used to measure production of O2 in various scientific experiments. These analyzers are also used in medical applications as respirators and anesthesia monitors. The presence of O2 in protected spaces or where there is possibility of fire or explosion are monitored by these analyzers as oxygen is one of the main constituent to produce fire.

NEED

There are several application in industrial sector that need accurate measurement of O2 thereby deploying these analyzers. The models available in market today are very rugged needing minimum maintenance and calibration. But there is no standard type of such equipment, but the choice depends on the intended application.
