PAPER ROBOT ERGONOMICS CHALLENGE

Supplies

1. paper robot printable

2. glue or tape

Step 1: Print and Cut Out the Parts of the Robot

Begin by printing out the pdf of the paper robot template and cutting everything out. You should have a body (the green part), a head (the yellow part), and two black skinny, rectangular shapes that represent the robot's arms.

Step 2: Fold and Put Together the Body and Head of the Robot

Next, fold the body of the robot by referencing the black borders, indicating where you should fold. You should fold the squares first and then the yellow tabs. Then apply tape or glue to the yellow tabs to close the body. Repeat the above steps for the head of the robot. Finally, glue or tape the head on top of the body. The pictures of the steps are shown above.

Step 3: The Arms of the Robot

Now, take both of the arms of the robot and fold it accordion style. The green lines on the arms indicate where you should fold. First, flip the arm so that the white side is facing you. Fold the first section up and then flip the arm to where the black side is showing to fold once more. Continue until you reach the tab. Fold the tab and apply tape or glue to it.

Step 4: Attach the Arms of Your Robot

Finally, attach the arms to the sides of your robot and you're finished. Congratulations!
