Intro: PCB Spider (Holder) for Your Project

If you work with the electronics, the PCB holder is essential item for the best soldering. There are many PCB holder in market, however they are useless or expensive. Getting more easy and accurate soldering is possible by using flexible stand. Copper wire is one of the elastic item and it can be useful in many projects. So using isolated copper wires and crocodile clips as PCB holder allow us to perform more comfortable and perfect soldering.

STEP 1: What You Need For?

Inventory

- Hot glue gun

- Drill

- Scissors

- Pliers

- Screwdriver

Consumables

- 4 x Isolated copper wire (1 mm diameter, 15 cm length) (Optional)

- 4 x crocodile clips

- 2 x male plug

- wooden plate (dimensions 130 x 90 x 8 mm) (Optional)

- hot glue

STEP 2: Making the Base of Holder

1- Open the male plug by helping of screwdriver and remove the terminals.

2- Mark to four corner of rectangular and make hole by using drill.

3- Use hot glue inside of holes and immediately insert the main legs (terminals of male plug) to the holes.

4- Strengthen the main legs by using hot glue.

STEP 3: Preparing and Mounting the Arms

1- Attach the crocodile clips to isolated copper wires. These are arms of the spider (holder).

2- Insert the arms into the legs and fasten it by using screwdriver.

***TIP***

Don't fasten screws so much, you need them to turn around due to its flexibility.

STEP 4: Ready to Use

Flexible PCB Spider (holder) is ready to use.

I can use it for PCB that 6 x 12, 10 x 10, 6 x 6 and 3.5 x ,2.5 dimensions. There was no problem and It was so useful. I suppressed to PCB and there was almost no movement in PCB.

So you can use it in different size o PCB as changing of arms and stand dimensions.

I have also prepared a video that how to make PCB spider.

It's easy to make and Do it yourself.

Regards.
