Intro: PERSISTENCE OF VISION ARDUINO CODE GENERATOR

With this tutorial and free apps you could load any image or text in your Arduino persistence of vision device (hardware instructions)

STEP 1: Load Your Image or Text and Generate Your Arduino Code

You can configure: colours, angle, nº leds, background, invert drawing....

STEP 2: Send Scketch to Arduino or Load Image Via App Bluetooth (HC-06)

STEP 3: Hardware: DIY Simple and Cheap

Up to now, only works with LED strip APA102

You need: ARDUINO (UNO, MEGA or NANO), Led Strip APA102 (5V) SENSOR HALL, MAGNET, POWER BANK 5V, MAGNET AND WIRES AND CONNECTOR (AS YOU WISH).

The connections are explained in the picture. Basically is:

SCK and MOSI (arduino) to C and D (led strip) respectively

D2 (arduino) to signal Hall Sensor.

If you select the Bluetooth option: Rx, Tx (arduino) to Tx, Rx (HC06) and A2 (arduino) to RESET PIN (arduino)

The pictures also show two board examples (not necessary) The EAGLE FILES are:

NANO

I dont try this version boards yet, check diagrams!!

STEP 4: FIX IN YOUR WHEEL BIKE

You must fix on Wheel Hub.

Make a support with cardboard or 3D printing and fix it with zip ties. The sensor and strip led could be fixed by adhesive tape (transparent over leds) Fix magnet on fork with hot melt and adhesive tape. (Dispose in the way that it was detected by sensor)

Hey Jesus

Excellent effort with bonus of Bluetooth connectivity as well!

May I respectfully point out a few typo's in the writeup you might want to amend;

arduino should be Arduino

conexions should be connections

basicly should be basically

alse should be also

Keep up the good work!

Really awesome project, might build it myself.

I would love to see a few pictures of your setup on the bike it self

Thanks! Easy and cheap. Load new images and it gives the code. If you want any picture there is no problem I still have them. Also the app has 9 samples.

That looks awesome, I would love the stars on my bike tires! :)

try it, It is really easy. And then, if you like share yours images.
