Introduction: PLINKO Board Project

In School, me and 3 other teammates were tasked with creating a homemade PLINKO board. We worked together to make a product we are proud of and earned us a 85% as a grade. In this instructible, I will teach you how to make a PLINKO board of your own.

Supplies

supplies needed are a 3d printer, 1ft by 2ft wood board, 4.5inch by 2ft wood plank, 4.5inch by 14inch wood plank, plastic or a clear material for the bottom. and these models plinko | board fully assembled

Step 1: Base Plank

Find a plank of wood and cut it so that it is 2 feet tall and 1 foot long.

Step 2: Side Pieces

next cut out your edge boarders that are 2 feet tall and 4 1/2 inches long. Attach it to either side of the main boarder piece.

Step 3: Edge Borders

Next, using the 3d models provided earlier, print out the triangle borders. 10 of the normal triangle ones, and 2 half triangle edge boarders.

Step 4: Triangle Boarders Glued

Next glue the triangle borders to the edge boarders or the inside of the PLINKO board.

Step 5: Pegs

Next print out 80-85 pegs and glue them 1 inch apart from each other.

Step 6: Bottom Piece

Next print out a bottom piece that is 14inch by 4.5inch by 0.5inch. That will serve as the bottom where the disc of ball will land. If you can't print it, simply cut out a wooden plank with those dimensions

Step 7: Bottom Dividers

If you have a 3D printer you can print out the bottom piece in two different parts. If not, then cut out a wood piece with those dimensions and then

Step 8: Glue Bottom Parts

Next, glue the bottom dividers in the slits on the bottom piece. if you had to cut out a plank, just put the bottom dividers on top but with what you think is a good distance apart for each point amount.

Step 9: Plastic Covering

Next find a flexible see through material that can be used as the plastic covering. For this step you will have to place the cover about an inch above the bottom piece so that the disc or ball can be taken out simply by tilting the plinko board forwards and having it fall out.

Step 10: Disc or Ball

Next, you will need a small marble or ball that can be used as the dropper. If you don't have either of those you can use the PLINKO disc 3d model instead, but a ball will work much better.

Step 11: Tilt Backwards

Your last and final step is to simply find a wall or strong structure you can lean the PLINKO board on. By doing this, your disc or ball won't fall out forwards when dropped.
