Today we're going to make a basic PVC pipe air cannon Note: I am NOT responsible for injuries or property damage associated with this.Fire at your own risk.

Step 1: Step 1: Assemble Your Gear

For the start of this project we're gonna' need a 2-ft length of 2-inch PVC pipe , a 6-inch length of the 2-inch PVC , a 2-inch diameter end cap , a 2-inch diameter ball valve , a bike valve (usually about $8 at your local auto store ) , a bike pump with a pressure gauge , some Purple Primer (or any PVC primer ) , and PVC cement.

Step 2: Step 2: Start Construction

Next carefully drill a hole about the size of the bike valve in the end cap and tighten the bike valve , then prime the inside of the end cap and outside of the 2-ft length of PVC cement and hold firmly for about 60 seconds. Now after this begin opening and closing the ball valve , sometimes it's sticky when you get it from the store. After about a minute of this prime the inside of the valve (ball) and outside of the 2-ft then repeat the cementing process of cementing and holding.

Step 3: Step 3: Finish Up

Now we are almost done! Prime the inside of the ball valve and outside of the 6-inch PVC repeat cementing process. Now that you're done leave to set for about a day and then fire!

Step 4: Step 4: Firing

To fire find an object (non-breakable) a little smaller than the diameter of the pipe , then get a Kleenex or other paper towel and wrap around the object and insert into 6-inch pipe with ball valve closed. Finally , pump up to 120 psi (MAX) aim away from homes, pets, people, cars, and private property , and quickly and firmly open the ball valve . Then watch it soar over 20 ft high and 50 yards away!!
