Introduction: Pac Man Wall Decorations

About: I make useful low budget projects. I focus on home improvement, DIY gear and recycling topics.

I made these PacMan-Inspired wall decorations out of recycled cardboard sheets and some colored paper. It is a Super easy and affordable project that alivens up your wall.

Step 1: Tools and Materials

Tools:

  • Ruler
  • Pair of Scissors
  • Box cutter or an Xacto knife
  • Pencil
  • PVA Glue or a glue stick
  • Thumbtacks

Materials:

  • Sheets of Cardboard
  • A4 size Colored Paper

Step 2: Cut & Glue the Items

Lay down the template on the cardboard and cut out the shapes. Cut out the bodies, eyesockets and eyeballs out of colored paper and glue them down in order. Lay the pieces down on a flat surface and weight them down until dry in order to prevent the cardboard from bowing.

You can use the provided B&W photos as templates.

Step 3: The Hanger System

While the glue dries you can work on the hanging system.

With a pair of pliers grab the thumbtacks by the nail part and cut off the top cylindrical portion of the plastic. It should end up as shown on the photos.

On the back of the cardboard pieces, approximately 2 inches from the top down the center line make a small incision. Take the modified thumbtacks and slide them into the incision as shown on the photos.

Afterwards cut out a small square piece of scotch or duct tape and drag them down the nail part of the thumbtack so that the tape holds it in place (As shown).

Step 4: Spacing and Mounting

The A4 paper is 8.3'' x 11.7'' in dimensions. Therefore, you need to measure out the 8.3'' plus the spacing between the figures for the hanging spots. I left 2 inches between.

Once you have done the measurements you need to pre-poke the holes with a regular thumbtack before hanging the figures.

Arrange the Ghosts and the Pac Man as desired and watch as your previously empty wall comes to life.
