Intro: Pallet Wood Fence Gate for My Bridge

The fence gate on my bridge was broken and needed a new one.

I dicided to make a new one form a pallet I got from my neighbour.

If you wanna make one too stay tuned....

STEP 1: What You Need.....

1. A pallet

2. Jigsaw

3. Tape-measure

4. Pencil

5. Combination Square

6. Drill 3,5 mm

7. Screws 40 x 35 mm

8. A door spring

STEP 2: Lets Make It.....

Take the Pallet apart and use the wood for fence.

Use a crowbar or a palletpal or some other tools.

Mark the lenght you need for you boards.

Cut them in lenghts with the jigsaw. How many boards you need depends on how wide your fence is going to be.

Measure the middle of the board and use the combination square to mark the corners.

STEP 3: Go On...

Cut the corners off with a jigsaw till you have enough boards for your fence.

STEP 4: Putting It Together

Measure how high your fence gone be.

Put the boards in place and let the distancce between the boards be the same.

Drill holes for the screws and screw the boards together.

Make a backer board to give the fence some extra support

STEP 5: Nearly Done.....

Put on the hinges and level everything.

Put on the door spring and the fence is done.

When you open de fence..... it automaticly close behind you.

Very nice! If the pallet was made from softwood like pine, one should perhaps consider weatherproofing the wood.
