Introduction: Penny Slippers

Penny slippers are slippers made out of cardboard!

Step 1: Gather All of the Materials Needed for This Project.

You will need

  • Cardboard
  • Velcro
  • Glue sticks
  • Glue gun
  • Scissors

Step 2: Trace the Slipper Onto the Cardboard

Take your shoe and trace it on the piece of cardboard, preferably with a pencil in case you make any mistakes. Repeat this step 5 more times, in order to complete all of the layers for the slipper. In total, you should have 6 of these cardboard slippers, 3 layers for each foot.

Step 3: Glue the Bottom 2 Layers of the Slippers Together, One on Top of the Other.

Take two of the three layers for each foot, and glue them together. Just glue the bottom two so that you can later sandwich the slipper strap in between the second and third layer.

Step 4: Cut Out the Top Part of the Slipper and Glue It

Now, cut out a strip of cardboard approximately 10cm x 30cm, and round one of the edges so that it looks as shown in the picture. Then cut the two pieces in half, so that you have two separate parts. Then, put glue on the back of the rounded strap and glue it onto the second layer. Repeat for the other slipper.

Step 5: Glue the Other Part of the Slipper Strap Onto the Slipper

Take the other half of the slipper strap, place glue on the back of it and glue it onto the second layer. Then, put glue on both of the straps and place the third layer on top of them, so that they get sandwiched by it. Repeat this step for the other foot as well.

Step 6: Add Velcro to the Straps

Take both pieces of the strap, and add velcro to each end, so that they can close and form a semicircle to hold your foot in place. Then close these straps together, and adjust them to your foot. Repeat this step for the other foot as well.

Step 7: You Are Done!

You have finally completed the instructable, and is now a proud owner of the Penny Slippers!
