Introduction: Pepper Ghost Effect With Reused Materials

Have you ever wonder how Disney made the ghosts in the haunted mansion look so real? Would you like to make your own effect? Then I have the project for you!

Supplies

Supplies you will need:

  1. Clear Cd cases
  2. Hot Glue Gun
  3. Paper
  4. Marker
  5. Something to cut it with
  6. Phone or iPad (To project the effect)

Step 1: Creating a Template

Draw a trapezoid similar to the one shown. Size depends on the device your using.

Step 2: Cutting It Out

Take the template and trace it on to the clear piece of the cd case. Carefully cut the pieces. Be careful that it doesn't crack, if so little cracks won't effect it to much but if it's a big crack you might need to restart that piece. Do that four times.

Step 3: Gluing It All to Together

Use the hot glue gun to glue it together in the way shown in photo. You may have to hold it for about a minute. Glue all the sides together. When your done it should look like the second picture.

Step 4: Creating the Effect

Place the projector in the center of your iPad\ iPhone. Search peppers ghost effect illusion on youtube and you should find videos that look like the first photo to get your effect to work.
