Since we became a couple in 2012, we have known we would retire to Boqueron, PR. In July 2017 we spent 16 days visiting family, making new friends in our future home town and though HE is a native islander, I am 'la gringa loca' who cried her eyes out upon first seeing Boqueron and again balled like a baby the day we left to fly back to NY. Less than 2 months later hurricanes Irma y Maria hit the isla. Every member of our family, and all our new friends are effected - and our focus has changed …

Less than 2 months later hurricanes Irma y Maria hit the isla. Every member of our family, and all our new friends are effected - and our focus has changed to help them and then worry about moving. We also decided early retirement is the key ... so if we are to arrive in Boqueron and keep our dream alive of being the two crazy pirates roaming the pablado of Boqueron (Thursday thru Sunday because THAT is a weekend in the Caribbean!) --- then we'd best have our skills in gear to hit the ground running.
