Introduction: Perfume


Essential Oil:


1. Wash fruits that are going to be used

2. Remove the inside of the oranges, lemons and grapefruits

3. Scrape out any left over pieces of the fruit inside the peel

4. Cut the peels into pieces

5. Take the peels and place each kind on a separate sheet of baking paper on a baking tray

6. Put the tray into the oven preheated to 50 ̊C

7. Leave it in the oven for 4 hours checking on it sporadically

8. After 4 hours, take it out of the oven and let it cool down to room temperature


1. Collect a decent amount of plants, not less than 500g

2. Place them on flat surface in direct sunlight

3. Let them dry out for 2­3 days in order to evapourate the water

4. Check if there are any insects in the plants while they are being collected into a container


1. Pour the mix of Jojoba and Sunflower oil (amount given in material section) into a small


2. Place in the dried plants or peels (amount given in material section) into the pot with the


3. Fill up 3⁄4 of a separate large pot with water

4. Let the water boil

5. After the water has reached it’s boiling point, turn the heat down to low

6. Place the small pot with the oils and plant or peels into the separate large pot

7. Keep the heat on low for 6 hours sporadically checking in on the mixture (about every

hour of 90 minutes) and use a spoon to compress the plant or peels to help to release the


8. After the plants or peels have been cooking for 6 hours, remove the small pot from the

separate large pot and let it cool down

9. Use a sieve to remove the plants or peels from the oil

10. Put the oil into a jar

11. Place the jar into a cabinet to protect it from sunlight

12. After about a week cover the inside of a funnel with filter paper and place it above a

different glass container

13. Slowly pour the essential oil into the funnel to filter it


1. Add the sunflower oil into the glass together with the ethanol (amount given in material


2. Add the essential oils (amount given in material section)

3. Transfer into a dark glass perfume container and store it in a cabinet at room temperature

for at least 48 hours and up to 6 weeks (the longer, the better)
