Introduction: Photogrammetry.
Objects used :
- Shoe
- Printer Paper
- Canon EOS 6D
Software used :
- Meshroom
Step 1: Taking the Pictures.
For this assignment, the first thing I did was to go outside and take 70+ pictures of my shoe, with different angles and zoom to make sure I have enough to make a mesh. I made sure it was cloudy out, so my pictures do not come out too bright. I also photographed it on top of a piece of paper to make it stand out even more.
Step 2: Meshroom.
I went on the web to download meshroom, which is the software we will be using for a successful photogrammetry. I then made a folder with all the pictures I took, and dragged it into meshroom. I started the program, and checked up on it from time to time to make sure there were no errors.
Step 3: Saving .obj
After it was done and showed me that it was done with all the tasks, I saved the .obj file. Sadly, my .obj was not a good representation of my object, and to make sure this does not happen, be sure to take an abundance of pictures in different angles.
