Introduction: Photopea Tutorial (Andrew Rowland)

This is a tutorial on how I created my photopea coca-cola advertisement. I did it on a chromebook so I had to take pictures with my phone and upload them because chromebooks don't have a screenshot function, so I'm sorry if some of the images are low quality. This will go over the 6 steps I took to create a drink advertisement.

Supplies

All you need is photopea and the pictures you want to use.

Step 1: Create Your Template.

This one is simple, create a template for your advertisement. I went with a 1920x1080, but you can use whatever feels right for the ad you're trying to make.

Step 2: Add Layers.

This is very important for later on, seeing as you need layers to make it look professional. I found out that you simply create layers by pasting individual objects at a time, so step 2 automatically gets completed as you go through step 3.

Step 3: Copy and Paste Your Images.

Once you find some good images of the drink you wish to promote, copy and paste them into each individual layer. The type of advertisement I made was in the format of one can in the middle and bottles going outward on each side. It's important to paste the bottles furthest back first so that the next images are automatically placed in front of them.

Step 4: Make Sure Your Objects Are on the Correct Layers.

Following step 3, item placement can be crucial to making the ad look more professional and well presented. If you put certain things before others, then it can make the ad look realistic and three dimensional in a way. Make sure that one item is the center focus and all others are going directly behind.

Step 5: Add a Slogan.

Like every ad, your ad must have a slogan or caption. If you just have images without any definition, people won't know what they're looking at. This can be achieved simply through creating text boxes and arranging them however looks good. I went with an actual coke slogan "Open Happiness" and used the color white which is common with coca cola.

Step 6: Finishing Touches.

Once all the items are in the correct display, insert the slogan above or below the ad using the move tool. Next you can change the color of the background if you haven't already by right clicking background, clicking color, and changing it to a color appropriate to the product you're advertising. Once this is all done, you should be good to go. If you think it needs minor adjustments to look more professional, you can add them now. That's how I made my coke advertisement.
