Introduction: Photoshop CS6 - Create Rounded Corners in Photo

In this tutorial, I will show you how to create Rounded Corners on picture using Adobe Photoshop CS6

Step 1: Unlock Background Layer

-Double-click on background layer to unlock it

Step 2: Select Shape Tool

Under shape tool, select Rounded Rectangle Tool

Step 3: Select Path and Radius

By default Shape is selected, choose Path

Enter Radius value (in this example I choose 35px)

Step 4: Create Vector Mask

In menu, Layer > Vector Mask > Reveal All

This will create a Vector Mask thumbnail next to the photo


Step 5: Draw Rounded Shape

Draw a rounded rectangle shape

When let go the mouse it will delete outside of the shape we just draw

Step 6: Save Your Photo

File > Save for Web

If background layer is transparent, then save picture as PNG-24

If there is background color, then save picture as JPEG

    Unfortunately this did not work for me.

    Step 5 - When I let go of the mouse it does not delete outside of the shape. What am I doing wrong?

    I had the same problem, but I realized I had to click on the white square in the vector mask layer. In his tutorial it looks like he's just showing you that the square is what happens when you select "reveal all" but you actually have to click on that square. :P I hope that helps you!
