Introduction: Pi Day Blueberry Frozen Yogurt Pi Pie - As Easy As 3.1415

I wanted to make an easy to make no bake pie that would use the numbers of pi for the amounts of the ingredients so with a little clever manipulation I was able to do just that.   This recipe is so simple and fun to make that it is a perfect pie to make with your kids.  It's also pretty healthy as far as pies go, so you won't mind when they want to eat the fruits of their labor.   I hope you will enjoy the pi as much as I did.

Step 1: The Ingredients

3 - cups of blueberry yogurt, fruit mixed in
1 can of blueberry pie filling, rinsed and drained.
4 - 2 oz portions of cool whip topping (1 tub = 8 oz)
1 - graham cracker pie crust
5 hours in the freezer

Step 2: Step 1 - Mixing Yogurt and Whip Cream

Put all three containers of yogurt in a large bowl.  Add 3 of the 2 oz portions of the whipped topping saving the remaining 2 oz for decorating the top of the pie (in other words, add 3/4 of the whipped topping to the bowl).  Whip together the yogurt and whipped topping with a wire whisk until blended as smoothly as possible.  It will still look lumpy because of the blueberries in the yogurt.

Step 3: Step 2 - Adding the Blueberries

Add all but about 2 teaspoons of the blueberries to the mixture (the remaining will be used for decoration).  Fold them into the whipped yogurt mixture with a spoon until they are evenly spread throughout.

Step 4: Step 3 - Assembling the Pie

Pour the mixture into the graham cracker crust, then spread it evenly, smoothing the top of the mixture to allow a "writing" surface for the decoration.

Step 5: Step 4 - Decorating the Pie

Using a decorating tube or bag with a star tip, draw a pi symbol in the center of the pie and make small stars around the circumference of the pie with the whipped topping that was held back from the mixture.  Place blueberries along the lines of the pi symbol and on each individual star to complete the decoration.

Step 6: Step 5 - the Final Touches

Put the pie in the freezer for 5 hours ( you can just use the fridge, but the pie will not get as firm and will tend to "melt" after being cut.  After the pie has frozen for 5 hours, cut, serve and enjoy!!!!

If you cut slices that are pi/4 large so you can serve 8.
