Pi day is one of the coolest holidays ever, so why doesn't it get decorations like other holidays do? Well now it does. This paper chain has 10 colors, each representing a decimal place or digit, that make a chain as long as you want it to because pi is endless!!!

Step 1: Materials

-8 colors of construction paper, plus one piece of black paper for the decimal point.

-stapler

-paper cutter or scissors if neatness doesn't matter

Step 2: Basics

This is almost just like making a normal paper chain, so if you don't know how to make this is how. Cut several strips of each color with measurements of 1 1/2 inches by 11 inches. This is all for now.

Step 3: The Key

For each digit (0-9) choose a color. The first picture here is the colors I chose. One color (I chose black) you only need one link of, because that I the decimal point.

Step 4: It All Comes Together

This is how you make the paper chain. Take a strip of the cot you chose for 3, then the color for the decimal. Link these together and stole them so each one is a circle. Now move on to adding the 1,4,1,5, and so on after the decimal. You can keep this going as long as you want- the video on this instructable is of my math classroom. All the classes worked together to create a chain that went around the whole room!
