An easy recipe for pickled bell chilies. Serve with any favorite dish or give as a gift.

Step 1: Gather Ingredients

20 Christmas Bell chilies

120 ml red wine vinegar

2 tbsp sugar

1 tbsp salt

2 tablets of acetylsalicylic acid

dill flowers

sour cherry leaves

fig leaves

celery leaves

Step 2: Prep Ingredients

Rinse bell chilies and cut off stems.

Crush 2 tablets of acetylsalicylic acid in a mortar.

Step 3: Add Vinegar and Herbs

Add red wine vinegar to a 800 ml jar. Add sugar, salt, 1-2 dill flowers, 2 sour cherry leaves and 1-2 fig leaves.

Step 4: Add Bell Chilies

Place bell chilies in jar. Top with celery leaves and 2 crushed tablets of acetylsalicylic acid.

Step 5: Close Jar

Cover with water. Close jar and shake vigorously.

Step 6: Enjoy!

Allow chilies to pickle for 2-3 weeks. Enjoy!
