Introduction: Picture Frame From Home
Supplies
Step 1: Constructing the Frame
Combined the frame and added L brackets for support. It was a little difficult making the cuts and edges were rough at first but I sanded them down a little. Also the finish was pretty smooth and wasn't to bad after all.
Step 2: Staining
Began to stain the wood and get it looking like a picture frame! I picked out a darker stain just because I like a darker finish to the wood. Actually impressed on the looks it gave when it was dry. I really like the stain it gave and it looks good on the wood. I would definitely use this stain again!
Step 3: Drying
I let my picture frame dry before adding my structure. Let it dry for a day and then worked on my border. It took longer than expected to completely dry but I wanted to give it time so the wood was ready. I didn't have the best place for it to dry out so I hung it up in my garage and it did the job.
Step 4: Final Touches
Once everything dried I added my border. I nailed them together and 2 in the middle for support. Actually turned out better than I expected! Impressed on the turn out considering I was limited with tools. I had a lot of fun with this project and learned a few things on what I could do better on. I would definitely do it again!
