Step 1: Easy Rainbow Gradient Nails

Easy nail instructions for beginners. You can use other colors. All you need is a makeup sponge, Vaseline or tape, and nail polish!

Step 2: Materials

You will need:
Makeup sponge
Nail polish (2 or more colors)
Vaseline or tape
Nail polish remover (optional)
Brush or q-tip (optional)

Step 3: Starting

Start with clean nails (I'll be using my ring finger). If you have very pale colors, you may want to do a white undercoat.

Step 4: Use the Sponge

Use tape or Vaseline around your fingers. You can also use a q-tip and remover afterwards, but it's harder.

Paint your colors onto your sponge. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS TOO MUCH. Go quickly, as the sponge absorbs the color.

Put your colors in order of gradience or however you want it. Pick an end which you want to be the bottom.

Make your color area long enough for your LONGEST nail.

Step 5: Apply

Stamp your nail with the brush until you reach the desired color. You can re-paint the sponge to get more color.

Step 6: Finish.

Allow to dry. Paint with over coat of choice. You're done!
