Introduction: Pita Pizza: the Five Minute Snack

About: I enjoy photography, horticulture and carpentry, and am almost always doing something relating to of those things.
When you're up at 2 in the morning and just craving a snack, but don't have the will power to make real food, you need something quick, easy, and delicious. Introducing, the Pita Pizza!

Step 1: Ingredients

Starring

1 Pita
Pizza sauce (from a jar, preferably)
Mozzarella cheese (from the freezer, preferably)
Other toppings

Feat:

Toaster Oven
Small cutting board
Spoon
Pizza knife

Step 2: Turn on the Toaster Oven

I like to bake it at around 250-300 degrees. Any hotter and the cheese will start to burn too early.

Step 3: Lay It Out

The great thing about small cutting boards, is they serve so many purposes. Mine is a preparation plate, a knife resistant surface, and a serving platter, all in one!

Lay Mr. Pita down so that his edges are up (like a bowl...they're sort of curved), and give him a little sun tan lotion, but not too much. Too much sauce can ruin a pizza.

Next, spread the cheese liberally, and add any other toppings you'd like.

Step 4: Peter the Pita Is Baked

Slide your pizza in the sauna to chill, until the cheese is melted to your satisfaction. He'll need about 5-7 minutes to fully melt, depending on the temperature of your oven.

Step 5: Voila!

Take him out, cut and serve. You've just made your first of many pita pizzas.
