Introduction: Plastic Materials
As we all know that the plastic materials can be divided into two types. They are the thermoplastic material and the thermosetting material.
1. Thermoset plastics: After heating, can make the molecular structure combined with reticulate type, but a combination of reticulate polymer, even heating won't soften again, show the so-called a reversible change, molecular structural change is caused by chemical. Such as phenolic resin, epoxy, amino resins, polyurethane, expanded polystyrene.
2. Thermo plastics: After heating can melt, can flow to the mold after cooling molding, heating and melting plastic again, can use of heating and cooling, make its produce a reversible change please - solid liquid, is the so-called physical change. Such as ABS, PP, POM, PC, PS, PVC, PA, PMMA.
In the plastic industry, these materials are cheaper than the steel and alloy and have the similar functions with the steel and alloy. So they are widely used in different kinds of plastic products. But it also brings us the damage for our life and our environment.
With the development of technology, we will pay more attention to our life quality and living environment. As we all know that the plastic materials, like PE, PVC, are the non-biodegradable materials, which can lead to the pollution for our environment. Such as the plastic bag pollution is very serious in the world. So it’s eager for us to find the biodegradable materials to replace the non-biodegradable materials and control the pollution. We only have one earth, we need to protect it.
