Plywood Scrap Projects

Introduction: Plywood Scrap Projects

About: I am a Woodworking Hobbyist, I enjoy creating from what most people would consider scraps. To give new life to a piece of wood and give joy to someone with a Special Hand Made Gift.

Scrap wood does not have to go to the fire pit, Small Craft items need little wood, and Your scraps could fit the need to a simple but crafty project that would make a nice gift, sale at craft shows, and it will build your skills to move on the "Fancy" Wood if you are just starting the Woodworking Hobby. The Best Part, Scraps are, in most causes, Free Wood. See what I do with some left over Plywood from a Cabinet Shop I was given, hope you enjoy the show

I liked the vase you made, I had never considered plywood for turning before a couple weeks ago. I think If you drilled or cut the centers out of the disks you could have made shaping the inside of the vase easier -- another suggestion would be to hollow out the bulk of the bottom of the vase before gluing the narrow neck on it, this way the bottom would have been thinner and the overall piece lighter.

I turned a pen out of a scrap piece of plywood I had the other day.

I made this but kicked it up a notch. I cut out the scrap into donuts instead of solid pieces. Thanks for the inspiration.

Your very welcome Buddy. I was thinking, How do you think one of those vases would come out if MDF was used ?? Just a thought as I have loads of off cuts of it...
