Hi! I'm going to show you that technique called pointillism. There are different ways to do it, but in this case I'm going to make a mandala with rainbow colors.

Supplies

  • Round canvas
  • Acrylic paint: black, white, red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple
  • Compass
  • Pencil
  • Brush
  • Ruler
  • Paint roller
  • Some materials to make points like: markers (different sizes, glue stick, etc)
  • Paper sheet

Step 1: Black

Paint the entire canvas black to bring out the colors. Let it dry.

Step 2: Center

I didn't know how to mark the center of the canvas, so I copied the silhouette, cut, folded twice and cut the tip. I put it on top and marked the center.

Step 3: Circles

Make circles by placing the point of the compass in the center. This will serve as a guide.

Step 4: Start Painting in White

To make the points, get enough paint, put the marker perpendicular to the canvas and go down. We will start with the center.

Step 5: Red

Make circles around the white point following the guide.

Step 6: Orange

Make sure that you are doing simetrically.

Step 7: Yellow

Try that the points of the same circle are equal.

Step 8: Little White Points

Add these little details in white.

Step 9: Green

The points are getting bigger.

Step 10: Blue

Step 11: Purple and White Details

Finish! I hope you like. Remember that you can do it on any surface: on paper, on wood, in a square, in a pentagon, etc.
