Introduction: Potato Frittata
Potato Frittata is a baked potato dish which can be enjoyed as a main course or a side dish.
Step 1: Ingredients
3 Large Potatoes
1 Onion (Medium)
1/2 Tea spoon grated nutmeg
1 Can of table cream
1 Cup (4 oz) of shredded Mozerella Cheese
1 Cup (4 oz) of shredded Parmesan Cheese
1/2 Tea spoon fresh ground pepper
1 Block of 4 oz butter
Salt to taste
Aluminium Foil
Step 2: Wash & Peel Potatoes. Then Cut Potatoes in Thin Slices of About 1 Cm
Step 3: Take a Baking Tray and Arrange Potatoes to See How Many Slices Will Fit in It.
Now that you know how many slices are needed, keep them aside.
Step 4: Take a Deep Pot and Add Cold Water Enough to Cook the Potato Slices
Step 5: While Boiling Potatoes Add a Tea Spoon of Salt Which Will Help in Cooking Faster and Keeping Them Firm.
It took me about 15 minutes to cook the potatoes in high flame.
Now to check if the potatoes are done, you can pierce a knife. If the knife goes through then the potato is cooked
Step 6: Take the Potatoes and Drain Them in a Sieve. You Can Add Some Cold Water to Cool Down
Step 7: Take the Onion and Grind to a Fine Paste (you Can Use a Grinder or a Grater)
Step 8: Now Grate the Nutmeg.
Step 9: Take a Cooking Pot Deep Enough to Cook the Sauce. Put Butter. Let It Melt, Add Nutmeg Powder, Onion Paste, Freshly Ground Pepper, Salt and Tin of Table Cream.
Mix all the ingredients together and boil them until it becomes a thick sauce like consistency.
Keep stirring the sauce continuously or it will burn and stick to the pot.
Useful tip: while cooking the sauce, cook on a high temperature first and when it starts boiling, reduce to a low temperature until sauce becomes thick.
Step 10: Now Arrange the First Layer of Boiled Potato Slices in the Baking Dish.
Step 11: Spread the Sauce Evenly Over Potatoes and Sprinkle Both (Mozzarella and Parmesan) the Cheeses on Top of It.
Repeat this arrangement until the baking tray is full keeping in mind that the final layer has to be cheese on top of sauce.
Step 12: Now Cover the Dish Up With Foil.
Step 13: Getting the Oven Ready
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. When oven is ready slip the baking dish into it and bake for about 35 minutes with the foil on. After 35 minutes, remove foil and put on broil and bake for another 7 to 10 minutes. Keep checking the top to see its not getting burnt.
Broil until it is evenly brown on top. Once done, remove the baking dish and put it on a cool rack for about 10 minutes.
Step 14: Serve and Enjoy!

I haven't had potato frittat for a long time, but think it is time to make this! Yum!
Your recipe call for 'table cream'. I am not familiar with anything with that name. It is in a can, so I wonder if it is condensed milk?
BTW, potatoes become green by exposure to sunlight. Always store your potatoes in a cool dry place. The toxin produced is Solanine, a neurotoxin, and is found not only in green potatoes, but also the stalks and leaves of the potato plant. In a normal healthy adult, you'd need to eat 4.5 lbs of green potatoes to experience any neurological problems.

Thank you so much for liking my recipe. Table cream is light cream which has 18% milk fat compared to half and half which has 10% and heavy cream has 35%. You can use any of these creams for this recipe depending upon your choice. It is used in sauces and soups to give shining and thick texture. It is not condensed milk but plain cream without any sugar. I used Nestle table cream for my recipe which I bought in Safeway. I liked the useful information that you shared about the green potatoes. Thanks once again.

Thanks for the info on the table cream. I've never seen it here in the Northeast. We have half-n-half, cream then heavy cream. Sounds like it is our basic cream. Glad to have the info!
