Introduction: Program Based Rotational Solar Plates

About: B-tech second year student of electronic and communication engineering. I am working on research and patent drafting fields. I love to make anything related to electronics. Now, also i am working on solar pane…

According to the growing population and need, we require more output in less expenditure. We have proposed a program based rotational solar plate. It always works on the direction of sunlight intensity. In this contest we proposed a special type of solar plate stand. The axis of solar plate is controlled with the help of stepper motor and it is controlled by micro-controller. The special thing is that we can control approximate 100 solar plates. And approximate 30% more energy will be generated than a normal solar plate. By using minimum number of solar plates, we can generate energy as per our need.

Step 1: Solar Plate Frame

Best material for making solar plate frame. Manufacture the frame to fit the solar plate in this frame. See the figure given below. At the center of the aluminium frame, between two holes connected will be 90 degree. Both holes will fit exactly at the top of the base frame. At the time of frame manufacturing I will make holes according to need, so that the solar plates can fit and tighten.

Step 2: Two Axial Auto-rotational Stands

Stand size- size of stand depends on the size of solar plate frame.

Material- use iron pipes and nut bolt to make stand.

Two axial- It is working on two axial. rotate daily basis east to west and rotate seasonally four times in one year it is dependent on our environment weather.

Step 3: Two Axial Stands

Required material-

1. 2*2 feet ply wood

2. GI sheet

3. 10 cm plain iron rod

4. grip nut (for GI placing in ply wood )

Step 4: Installing the Mechanism on Stands

mechanism-

1. half circle teeth warm

2. full circle teeth warm

working function of mechanism-

Three bases are used in stands. All three bases will fix in plane surface. Center base
are connected to the middle of the upper frame. ‘T’ joints are not tight. It will tighten the nut bolts from the center. Both two sides stand is used for balancing the upper part. Both sides excel are help to adjust the angle of frame. These excel are rotate threw hand and change the angle of frame. We change the angle according to need. Basically, base angle is changing seasonally.

Limitation of changing the base ‘T’ angle is 60 degree. At the center rotate 30 degree up and 30 degree down. For example-

A. When the sun light on the head, we set the angle 90 degree (base frame).

B. Sometimes when the sun is not on the head then set the angle according to sunlight angle.

Change the base angle for four to five times in one year according to sunlight direction.

Top of the base stand -Two small excels are put in the top of stand they are removable. These excels are fit in solar plate frame.

Function of base stand and solar plates frame- First set the both frames together put the “plate frame holes” in top of the base excel. Both of the holes are fit accurately and move up to down smoothly.

Step 5: Views of Mechanism in Different Angles

Complete image of mechanism

All the parts are attached as usual

single stepper motor control a plants we require only more mechanism for planting the solar plates.

Step 6: About Mechanism

These half circle frames are fixed in the solar frame.

See the figure of excel – excel attach with stepper motor and connect to the half circle frame.

Half circle frame teeth are attaching to circular excel teeth. Rotate the stepper motor than change the angle of solar plate according to micro-controller programming. These programming is based on angle of sunlight.

Three circular warm teeth are shown in three different view. Circular teeth are installing in excel for rotating the half circle teeth, and they are attached with solar plates for changing the angles.

Finally, whole process is applied the solar plate generate approximate 30% maximum current than general normal solar plates. So, it is more beneficial for solar plants. We add solar plates in the excel approximate 100 or more.

2. L298N motor controller

3. data cable for uploading program
