Introduction: Propeller Toy

I am a student at First Flight Middle School, and I designed a 3D printable propeller toy. It is easy to build & fun to use. It is separated into three parts for easier printing.

Supplies

  • Computer
  • Splicing Software (Optional)
  • 3D Printer (at least 21 cm tall)
  • Superglue

Step 1: Download Files

Download these three files and export them to a splicing program or your 3D printer.

Step 2: Splice (optional)

If you would like, you can merge the three files on your splicing software to print them all at once. It is best to orient them with the flat face on the printer bed for easiest printing.

Step 3: Print

Export your files to your 3D printer and print them.

Step 4: Assemble

Remove the print from the printer and glue the two propellers together around the stick.

Step 5: Use

To use, simply spin the propeller counterclockwise and release. It will then fly upwards and glide down.
