Introduction: Protecting Multimeters and Other Instruments
I was looking to get some protective casing for my electronics instruments. Most manufacture don't sell any. here is what I found.
Step 1: Goto Your Local Office Supply Store.
Office supply like Business depo, staples, bureau en gros, denis, etc. have a lot of good choice in pencil case these days.
I found two nice size pencil cases for $2.48 and $4.98...
School is back and so are the great selection and prices for this stuff .
My meters fit in perfectly, they almost look like they came with the instruments in the first place.
Step 2: That's It
As you can see, this is a nice fit.

I simply used an old flip top box. glued in section dividers, for DMM, then some key tools and patch cords. Covered with old Levi's Jean fabric (kept front denim pocket for an outside pouch. some velcro (or snap) to keep closed. Canvas and denim make great outer covering material for most travel cases. Search for any topic on box-making, if you need help in constructing a custom-sized box,
