Step 1: Step 1: Making the Design

You can use various 3D CAD programs in which to design this project, such as Onshape and 123D Design. Below are the STL files for the design we used.

Step 2: Step 2: Printing the Design

After getting the STL file we opened it into the printing software, Cura. You can download this for free from the internet. Orientate the pistol so that the handle in sticking up in the air, this way little supports are needed. You will need to add supports, which you can do so by checking the box on the left. Also orientate the trigger so its on its side, therefore no supports will be needed. Print the design at 15-20%.

Step 3: Step 3: Remove the Supports

You can remove the supports from the back of the pistol simply by pulling it off. If some pieces do not come off with the first initial piece you can use an x-acto knife.

Step 4: Step 4: Putting the Pieces Together

After removing the supports; insert the trigger piece into the opening under the body of the pistol. With a 2/56" screw, secure the trigger to the body. A screwdriver may be needed. Take two regular sized hair clips and break off the smaller middle piece. You can do so by bending it back and forth a couple of times. Afterwards, insert the two clip pieces into either side in front of the pistol. Next, take a rubber band and insert it into the hole of the clips. Tie ONE END only. Test the pistol with a Q-tip before securing the other side to ensure maximum length shot. In addition, make sure all Q-tips have one end removed before using as ammunition.

Step 5: Step 5: Shooting the Gun

To shoot your gun, wrap the rubber band around the small ledge at the end of the pistol. Then, place the Q-tip fluffy side out on the ridge until the end meets the rubber band. Be careful not to push the Q-tip in to the ridge too tight. You won't be able to shoot! Pull the trigger. Enjoy!
