Introduction: Quick and Easy Way to Make a Fake Wound

This is a great method to make any kind of fake wound using materials that you can either find around your home or buy from the store at a very low cost. It's great for Halloween or any occasion you want to look a little worse for the wear for.

Step 1: Gather Your Material

You will need

  1. Scissors
  2. Tweezer
  3. Dark red, blue, green, black, and dark purple eye shadow
  4. Brushes
  5. Fake blood
  6. Red cream makeup
  7. Skin tone makeup
  8. Tissues
  9. Elmer's glue

Step 2: Cut Up a Tissue to the Size You Want Your Wound to Be.

Then peal apart the layers of the tissue so you have thin sheets.

Step 3: Apply Glue to Your Face

In the area you want your wound to be, apply a thin layer of glue. Use Elmer's glue or a washable and safe glue. Elmer's glue also dries clear which is a plus!

Step 4: Place Tissues on the Area

Make sure to glue down the edges of the tissue. After applying the first layer of tissues, glue down another sheet but avoid gluing down the center area.

Step 5: Tweeze and Cut the Wound Make

Carefully pick and cut the tissues in the shape you want your wound to be. Be sure not to cut your actual skin!

Step 6: Apply Skin Color Makeup to the Tissues

It's alright if it's not the right shade, you'll be adding more to the wound.

Step 7: Cut Open the Wound

This should give you a better idea of what your wound is going to look like and where the blood is going to go.

Step 8: Apply Red Makeup to the Inside of the Wound

Use a red cream makeup in the center of the wound to provide a base to the pigment you will be using.

Step 9: Apply Eye Shadow

Darken and deepen the wound by putting in dark red and purple eyeshadow

Step 10: Apply More Eyeshadow

Place eyeshadow around the wound to resemble bruising and dead skin.

Step 11: Continue Adding More Effects

Blue/green eyeshadow is great for veins and black eyeshadow is a great way to resemble dried blood and rotting skin.

Step 12: Apply Fake Blood

I use the cheap fake blood you can find at most stores for a dollar around Halloween time. I mix the red cream makeup with the blood to thicken it a bit and add clumps to the blood like clots. Apply that how you want it to look.

Step 13: Keep Adding

You can go wild and do you whole face/body this way by applying the same methods, smearing the blood, using the eyeshadow to make veins or imitate bruising. Applying the skintone makeup to your lips adds to the deathly look.
