Quilling Boxes
Intro: Quilling Boxes
You can make an infinity of boxes : forms, colors, get creative!
Furnitures:
- Quilling paper (or serpentines),
- Mod podge (or other varnish glue).
STEP 1:
Start by surrounding and tightening the strip on itself.
For easier starting, curling it with a pair of scissors as it was curling ribbon.
No glue when you want to change color (or if the strip torned), just insert the new strip in the spiral.
Stop with a drop of glue.
STEP 2:
Gradually (and gently) drag the layers to achieve the desired shape.
You can help yourself by rubbing a round object in your hand.
You can start over by re-flattening the shape on the table.
Cover with ModPodge (or varnish glue) to fix the shape.
Start again to make a cover for your box.
STEP 3:
Enjoy !
