Introduction: RC Wheel Traction Hack

Do you have an RC car, but the wheels are PLASTIC! After a while the plastic grips will wear down on the wheel, especially if you are driving it on concrete. Here is a little hack I found to get your RC car speeding down the driveway again!

Step 1:

Got a flat bike laying around? Take the flat tire off your bike and cut it in half long way(like in picture two and three). Once the whole tire is in half, be sure to rub all the powder off the inside of the tire because the glue probably won't stick as well(see the powder on the wheel in pic. four) Now cut the length you need for the size of your tire. Remember we will stretch the rubber a lot, so keep that in mind.

Step 2:

Now take some all purpose super glue and glue about one inch of the end and let it dry for a minute or two (depending on how long your glue takes to dry.

Step 3:

Time for the .......stretch!! Stretch it pretty tight so there is no sag. If you do this right, it the excess may curve around the edge. You can cut any flaps off that might interfere with anything. Make sure when your glue this part that your hold it until it is dry, otherwise it will come undone, because of the tension behind it.
