Introduction: RGB LED Bike Lighting

This project is a simple way to light up your bike using off the shelf LED lights. I used IKEA decorative lighting bars, which came with a small control box. The controls include a colour wheel, fade, and colour flash modes. I used some Sugru to waterproof the ends of the otherwise enclosed light strips.

By taking apart the box that slipits the controller wire to the light wires, I was able to hook the 12v battery directly up to the system.

6" Black tie-lines are used to fasten the LED lights in place. The control box fit snugly under the seat. The battery pack at the back is fastened on using the same tie-lines. A small plastic box below the battery encloses the various wires.
