Intro: Replacing a Pgmfi Relay (Honda Civic 1999).

As a proactive changeout, I'm replacing the 17 year old pgmfi relay in my civic.

The first step is to remove the passenger side panel as shown.

STEP 1: Removing the Old Relay.

A 10mm bolt holds the relay bracket. Once off the relay is accessible from the glove box area.

STEP 2: The New Relay!

From Amazon.com I got a Beck arnley replacement.

STEP 3: Comparison.

The new relay is smaller than the oem.

STEP 4: Preparing the New Relay.

The included bracket has to slide and lock into the Groove on the relay body.

STEP 5: Installing the New Relay.

Installing is the reverse of removal and once the side panel is back in place the car is road worthy again!
