Replacing a Lost or Broken Analog Joystick on Your PSP.

I've lost several of the detachable joysticks and I figured I'm not the only one who has this problem. By the time I remembered to super glue it to the PSP, I've lost it again. So instead of buying new ones or adding the big bulky ones through modding, I've come up with a cheap way to replace it over and over again if need be.

Materials needed:
Thumbtack(s)
Knife or small shears
Super Glue
Hockey Tape(whatever color matches your PSP, or leave off if you have the gold one)

I realize the pictures are really low quality, I had to use my phone to take them, I lost my digital camera somewhere in my room. Sorry if they are too blurry for some, I imagine you'll still get the general idea.

Step 1: Step 1: Scissors!

Cut a small piece of hockey tape, and place it sticky side up, push the thumbtack into the tape and cut around the edge so that the tape makes a slightly larger circle around the tack.

Step 2: Step 2: Scissors!

Slice at equal intervels around the tack, then fold the excess tabs of hockey tape onto the underside of the tack. The smaller you make the intervals, the cleaner the top of the tack will look when it's finished.

Step 3: Step 3: Wirecutter!

Use your wirecutter to snip a few milimetres off the end of the tack so that it will fit snugly into your PSP while not sticking too far out.

Step 4: Step 4: Super Glue!

Super glue on top of the folded in tabs of tape to make sure they don't dry out and come off later on. Aswell as on the spike end of the tack so that when you place it into the joystick hole, it won't shift and rotate. This prevents easy removal though, use at your own discretion.

Step 5: Fin

That's it, you don't HAVE to use hockey tape, I just used it because it adds grip and matched the colour of my PSP. If I had just painted the thumbtack it would have rubbed off in all of 5 minutes.
